I wanted to station my Shinkansen on 4 viaduct tracks leading into two tracks that run into town. Since they viaduct was elevated a custom support was needed for the switch assembly as shown below.
The custom 3D printed piece is depicted below - it is made of three interlocking pieces to make it printable on any 3D printer. Mine was printed on a Makerbot Method X.
